Macca Malik aka B-Girl Macca has worked hard to represent women at the forefront of Hip Hop dance culture on a high level through internationally recognized competition.
Macca gained interest in Hip Hop through her older brother, an MC, and organizer of many Hip Hop events in Germany in her early years. She began learning Breaking from Raphael Xavier, one of Philadelphia’s master Breakers.
She has showcased her talent on an international scale, traveling to countries such as Germany, Switzerland, England, Bolivia, Canada, France, Puerto Rico, Réunion Island, and Nicaragua. She served as a Hip Hop ambassador to La Paz, Bolivia, through a U.S. government-organized program, as well as for the cultural diplomacy initiative, Next Level. A standout competitor in the global breaking scene, Macca has claimed numerous victories, including winning the Red Bull BC One B-Girl National Qualifier. Additionally, she was featured as a principal B-Girl in Jill Scott's iconic "Shame" music video.
Macca is also the co-founder of GIT Productions (Girl Illa Tactics), a multi-modal production house and creative curation venture dedicated to centering the voices of Black, Indigenous, African Diasporic womxn and femme-identified creatives. Her passion for uplifting underrepresented voices has been a driving force behind her artistic journey.
As her career continues to flourish, Macca has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first-ever sponsored B-Girl by Monster Energy. She is now the creator and host of her own groundbreaking show, The Battle Manifesto, where she blends her expertise in breaking with her vision to celebrate the culture and community of Hip Hop.
